While Standard cakes and Blizzard cakes can be selected from our cake display case on a first-come first-serve basis, we do recommend that you do order and reserve your cakes in advance to be sure that you get the size and shape you want. This is particularly true during spring and summer when cake demand is at its peak.

DQ Cakes do not have any cake in them. Dairy Queen ice cream cakes are made with layers of vanilla soft serve, chocolate soft serve, cold fudge and cookie crunch, decorated with your choice of designs. How to Serve a Dairy Queen Frozen Cake.
Supplies: Warm Water
Tools: Sharp Serrated Knife, Chilled Plate
Step 1: Thaw the Dairy Queen Cake
Remove the cake from the freezer and let it thaw for about 20 minutes before serving
Step 2: Cut the Dairy Queen Cake
Dip the serrated knife into the warm water and cut the cake into triangle-shaped wedges for round cakes and cut a rectangular cake into squares. Every other cut or so dip the knife back into the warm water.
Step 3: Serve the DQ Cake Immediately
Promptly serve your Dairy Queen cakes. Frozen cakes are best served on chilled plates so that the cake can withstand the warmer temperatures.
